Communicating Your Message with PowerPoint: Livening Up Your Presentations

Learn about using PowerPoint clearly and persuasively.


Overview	In this workshop, which is designed for both new and moderately experienced PowerPoint users, we'll discuss ways to use PowerPoint effectively: emphasizing you as a speaker rather than your slides; limiting text; using well-designed graphics and animations which focus visual attention and reinforce your points; and exploring alternatives to linear presentations. Please note: This workshop is not an introduction to the mechanics of the program; it is instead about using PowerPoint effectively in presentations.

Intended Audience	Any undergraduate, graduate, or faculty writer interested in learning to write more effective PowerPoint slide shows.

Duration	1.5 hours
