Senior-Thesis Writing Groups

Overview

Are you an undergraduate in the process of writing a senior thesis? Would you like encouragement, feedback, and support from your peers? Then join this workshop, a small writing group with other senior-thesis writers from across the university. After a successful first year in 2012–2013, we are happy to again provide a way for students to support each other through the challenging and rewarding process of writing a senior thesis.

At welcoming and relaxed meetings, you'll have the opportunity to discuss drafts of your thesis, give and receive support and feedback, and hold each other accountable for making progress. A Writing Center instructor will attend the initial meeting for each senior-thesis writing group, help the group decide its goals and meeting schedule, and be in touch with the group over the course of the semester to offer advice and support. If you would like to join a group or have questions, please email Sarah Groeneveld at sgroeneveld@wisc.edu
