Literary Analysis: More Than Just a Book Report!

Learn how to write a critical analysis paper for your introductory literature class.



Overview

Are you writing a literary analysis essay about poetry, fiction, or another genre in an introductory literature course? If so, this workshop is for you! In this workshop, you'll consider approaches for close reading texts, learn the secrets of a successful argumentative thesis, explore the organizational approaches that work best in essays about literature, and discuss mistakes that students frequently make when writing critical analyses.


Intended Audience

Undergraduate students who are writing papers in their literature classes and who want to learn how to organize and develop critical papers.
