Learn how to write convincing and persuasive personal statements for graduate school admission.


Overview

For those applying to master's and doctoral programs in the sciences, social sciences, humanities, or arts, this workshop will explore general principles for writing convincing essays and statements—ones that highlight your undergraduate work and emphasize your research interests successfully.

Please note that this workshop is not appropriate for personal statements for law, medical, or other professional school applications. For medical and law school applications, you’ll want “Writing Personal Statements for Medical and Law School Applications”.


Intended Audience

This workshop is designed to help students applying to master’s or doctoral programs in the sciences, social sciences, arts, or humanities.
