Cultivating Your Online Identity

Learn how to create and maintain a professional presence in social media.



Overview

When hiring committees Google your name, what will they find? Today's candidates for competitive academic positions are expected to maintain online identities to share research interests, demonstrate communication skills, project an accessible demeanor, and connect with colleagues. This 90-minute course examines up-to-the-minute trends in the decisions academics make when they use Facebook, Twitter, blogs, email, and personal pages to project an academic identity online.
